Tsuyu Asui is a supporting character in My Hero Academia. She is a student of Class 1-A and one of Izuku's friends.
She is voiced by Aoi Yūki in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Monica Rial in the English version.
What Makes Her Love Exalted?[]
- Despite her stoic personality and brutal honesty at times, she has a very sweet, caring, selfless, and kindhearted personality.
- She has adorable mannerisms, such as tipping her finger against her mouth while speaking, pondering, or showing curiosity, asking her friends to call her Tsu instead of Tsuyu, and saying "ribbit" after most of her sentences.
- Despite her parents being always busy at work which forced her to be the caretaker of her two younger siblings at a young age and the fact that due to her limited emotional range people thought she was creepy which made her have a friendless background for a while, she still found her life to be wonderful.
- Even though Shigaraki was just seconds away from killing her and Mineta during the Villains' invasion in the U.S.J., she risked her life to defend Izuku and Mineta.
- She intervenes to save Sirius from Innsmouth while she is an intern.
- During their fight with Himiko Toga, she shielded Ochaco.
- She has the decency to consider Mineta a friend, despite his perverted tendencies.
- Together with Ochaco, she helped save many innocent people's lives after the Paranormal Liberation War, including the lives of two children.
