Thor Odinson is one of the main protagonists of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He is a warrior-prince hailing from Asgard, the God of Thunder and a self-proclaimed protector of Earth. Thor became famous for his heroic acts on Earth, which included serving as a founding member of the Avengers.
What Makes Him Love Exalted?[]
- While he was once hot-tempered, arrogant and even blood-thirsty initially, even going to Jotunheim and getting several Frost Giants killed, nearly bringing Asgard to the brink of war, he loses this side and his prejudice towards Frost Giants after he was banished to Earth and learned humility.
- After being banished to Earth and being helped by Jane Foster, he thanks her for her help.
- When learning that S.H.I.E.L.D. took Jane's equipment, he promises to get the equipment back for her in exchange for her help.
- Upon learning of Odin's "death" and his banishment from being part of the truce with Jotunheim from his brother Loki, he accepts the news and thanks Loki for visiting him.
- When the Destroyer arrives, Thor evacuates the citizens and despite knowing of his vulnerability, he stood up to the Destroyer, speaking to Loki and apologizing for his wrongdoing, telling him that kill the citizens of Puente Antiguo would gain him nothing and offers his life to be taken.
- Upon returning to Asgard, he attempts to convince Loki to stop his schemes.
- He stops the Bifrost from building up any further, saving Jotunheim and the entire race of Frost Giants from extinction.
- When he returns to Earth after learning Loki was there, he tries to convince him to surrender and return to Asgard.
- He was devastated when Loki stabs Coulson.
- While fighting his brother a second time, he continuously tries to convince him to stop.
- When learning that Jane Foster had bonded with the Aether, he brings her to Asgard to have her treated and so the the Aether can be safely removed.
- He was devastated by his mother Frigga's death.
- During the Time Heist in 2013, he reunites with her and tries to save her by warning her of what would happen.
- After seeing Loki "die", he holds his brother in his arms and promises to tell Odin of his heroic deeds.
- Thor helps in the operation to evacuate Sokovia, then destroys Novi Grad, preventing the city from falling to the Earth and wiping out all life on the planet.
- After Odin's death, he is upset by his death and prays for his father and his journey to Valhalla.
- When he reunites with the Hulk, he's happy to see his friend again, and initially refuses to fight.
- Through his words, Thor convinces Loki that he can be a better person.
- When meeting his half-sister Hela once again, he sympathizes with her anger towards Odin and his wrongdoings.
- He thanks his brother for his help, saying that Loki was a good person deep down.
- He mourns Loki’s death after Thanos kills him.
- Though initially hostile towards Gamora when he learns she is the daughter of Thanos, he instead takes pity on her and shares how he had to kill his half-sister.
- He motivates Eitri to help forge Stormbreaker, and nearly dies to forge the weapon.
- He arrives in Wakanda, saving both Steve, Bruce, and their allies from being overwhelmed by Outriders.
- He feels incredible guilt for failing to stop Thanos.
- Despite falling into a depression in the wake of the Snap (even playing fortite), Thor assists in the operation to recover the Infinity Stones to undo the Snap.
- He offers to wield the Gauntlet and snap his fingers to resurrect everyone, despite his poor health and current condition, wanting to redeem himself for his failure to stop Thanos 5 years earlier.
- Alongside all the other heroes, he takes a knee in respect to Tony and attends his funeral to mourn him.
- He helps the Indiggarian people by taking care of Habooska the Horrible and his army, killing Habooska and saving the planer. After the battle, he insists it was a team effort. He also apologizes to King Yakan for accidentally destroying the planet's temple.
- Thor stops Nebula and Mantis' from putting down the two Indiggarian goats they'd received from the Indiggarian people as a token of gratitude.
- When the Asgardian children are kidnapped, he communicates with Heimdall's son, Axl. He instructs Axl on how to use his powers to let Thor see through his eyes, and informs the children he was assembling at team to stop Gorr and rescue them.
- After Jane reveals she has Stage IV cancer and is worried about the future, Thor comforts her by reminding her she was worthy to wield Mjolnir, and that before he met her, he was not unworthy. He explains that she made he worthy by teaching him there was no greater purpose than to help others.
- When Jane wants to go with Thor to rescue the children, Thor orders her to stay behind since Mjolnir was draining her strength. He pleads with her to stay behind so she can survive and they could have a life together.
- He convinces Gorr to not use his wish to destroy all the gods and instead have Eternity bring back his dead daughter by cradling Jane in his arms as she dies from cancer.
- Thor adopts Gorr's daughter after Gorr’s death, teaching her how to use Stormbreaker and working together.
