This Love Exalted has been confirmed to be on the Heroic Benchmark Wiki to be a Heroic Benchmark. Although these characters have too much corrupting factors, have too much moral agency issues, are insufficiently characterized, are purely innocent, have standard heroism or heavily fail the in-story standards that prevent them from standing out to be at least Inconsistently Admirable, they are still noble and heroic enough in their own right. Do not remove Love Exalteds from this category unless they have been removed from the Heroic Benchmark Wiki. Failure to following these rules will result in a block. |
Rex is a supporting character in the Toy Story franchise. He is a Tyrannosaurus rex toy who is rather anxious and insecure, but still does whatever he can to help his friends even if the mission is dangerous.
He was voiced by Wallace Shawn.
What Makes Him Love Exalted?[]
- He is a very friendly toy and is always willing to help others out even if he is scared and he doesn't hold grudges against Hamm or Mr. Potato Head, despite them being rude to him quite often.
- His anxieties and insecurities help the audience want Rex to succeed in his goals to see that he is capable of doing heroic things.
- He dislikes any form of confrontation and tries his best to never hurt anyone's feelings or annoy others on purpose.
- He lacks any corrupting factors and never darkens the mood when he is on screen, instead, he lightens the mood.
- He decided to aid Buzz on his mission to save Woody after Al Mc Whiggin kidnapped him, despite being scared of the outside world.
- When Utility Belt Buzz was about to die, he told him he could still defeat Zurg if he believed in himself, before closing his eyes and looking away as he didn't want to see Zurg kill him but then accidentally knocked Zurg off the elevator with his tail, with him then excitedly claiming that he finally defeated Zurg after failing at it in the video game many times.
- He agreed with Buzz and Jessie that they should stay at Sunnyside Daycare to make kids happy due to thinking that Andy no longer cared about them anymore.
- He helped Woody and the other toys escape Sunnyside Daycare, and didn't hold a grudge against Lotso even if he left them to die not long before.
- When Bonnie takes him for playtime in the bath tub, Rex befriends the rest of her bath toys and allows them to refill the bathtub in order to have a party due to him having fingers and arms turn the taps on and off.
Trivia[]
- He, alongside Woody, Buzz, the Little Green Men and Barbie are the only Toy Story characters to be Loves Exalted.
- Ironically, his voice actor Wallace Shawn, had portrayed another Pixar character, Gilbert Huph from The Incredibles, who is a Hate Sink.
