What Makes Him Love Exalted?[]
- According to Creating a Champion, Revali was actually intended to be loved by the audience by the creators and it was explained that one of his creators, Naoki Mori found it interesting for Revali to be someone who doesn't accept Link as the hero he was destined to be while making sure that he does not end up being dislike too much.
- To further support Revali being intentionally loved, one of of the music composers, Yasuaki Iwata stated during the Breath of the Wild music change interview admitted that he initially was not very fond of Revali initially and transmitted his distaste towards him into his main theme, until Hajime Wakai intervened and asked to help make Revali more likable through music, which Yasuaki was on the fence about doing it to an abrasive character, but he ends up being creative with his theme to improve his likability and at the end of the day, he ended up loving him.
- Even though Revali is a serious individual most of the time who often acts like a jerk to others for the most part, he lightens up as the story progresses and it helps that Link is able to prove that he is indeed more worthy of his respect than he initially thought.
- Revali's insecurities also came into play during The Champions' Ballad DLC cutscenes where he was training tirelessly to perfect Revali's Gale and often failed up until Princess Zelda arrived to recruit him as a Rito Champion and after accepting, he tries one last time and is able to master it.
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity brought more likable traits in Revali; his interactions with his allies have him being very sweet with them when they reach his location or defeat an enemy outpost and is surprisingly respectful and encouraging towards them despite his proud nature.
- The Guardian of Remembrance DLC Pack brings out the most of Revali's positive moments and it is thanks to Tulin, and the Creating a Champion reveals that the Flight Range was used for his personal use before he opened it to the public and even children so they can train as well, and Age of Calamity's DLC brought this trait to the surface regarding him being a softie to kids. When Revali learns that a Rito child resembling Teba has gotten lost in Korok Forest, he immediately tells Teba about it and they work together to find the missing boy and upon finding him, he has some heartwarming interactions with Tulin and during the cutscene, he proves to be supportive of Tulin's vision of becoming a great archer like him and wield the Great Eagle Bow. After Tulin imitates Revali, the latter busts out laughing.
- This cutscene also foreshadows Tulin's expanded role in Tears of the Kingdom where he does become a fine warrior and earns the Great Eagle Bow from his dad, Teba.
