Rayman is the titular main protagonist of the eponymous video game series of the same name, created by Ubisoft's game designer, Michel Ancel.
Rayman made his first appearance in the 1995 platform game of the same name on the Atari Jaguar, Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and MS-DOS, which was the first game of the entire franchise of the same name. Since his first appearance in the eponymous title in 1995, Rayman has become a legendary video game icon and is one of the most recognizable fictional characters in the world, and one of the most remarkable mascots of Ubisoft, with fans praising him for his lack of limbs and amusing personality.
Rayman was voiced by Steven Perkinson (Rayman, English with Rayman, Rayman Junior), Emmanuel Garijo (Rayman 2: The Great Escape, Rayman M, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Rayman Adventures, Rayman Mini) in French, Billy West (Rayman: The Animated Series), David Gasman (Rayman 2: The Great Escape, Rayman M, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, Mario + Rabbids: Spark of Hope) and Douglas Rand (Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Rayman Adventures, Rayman Mini) in English.
What Makes Him Love Exalted?[]
- Since his first appearance in his first and eponymous title in 1995, Rayman has become a legendary video game icon and is one of the most recognizable fictional characters in the world, and had the reputation of being Ubisoft's most remarkable and notable mascot, with fans praising him for his lack of limbs and amusing and chucklesome, albeit lighthearted and selfless personality.
- Rayman has relentlessly gone out of his routine to save his world from incoming evil, as Rayman saves his world and its inhabitants from Mr. Dark's and Admiral Razorbeard's domination. Rayman has also even saved the Glade of Dreams from several and devastating threats, such as Admiral Razorbeard and Andre the Black Lum, even though it all endangered himself. Additionally, in both Rayman Origins and Legends, he prevents the Magician and his army of Dark Teensies from world domination.
- Rayman went to save the baby Globoxes from the Rabbids and disguised himself as a Rabbid in order to stop the Rabbids' invasion on Earth.
- While Rayman did shove a plunger up a bird's bottom, it was understandable since the bird repeatedly pooped on his nose for its own amusement each time he checked the window to see how much plungers he had to escape the Rabbids' imprisonment. Additionally, while he did lose his temper and fire his shoe at the television when the Rabbids were trapped in it, it was justified due to the Rabbids relentlessly irritating him and keeping him up for several nights.
- While he prevented Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach from going up against the Phantom of the Bwahpera when he comes out of the elevator, it would be unfair to blame him since he lacked knowledge of Phantom's identity. Furthermore, he assisted Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Peach and Beep-0 defeat the phantom of the Bhwapra.
- Even though Beep-0 states he knew the Phantom was manipulating him, Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Rayman (which was clearly not true and it was confirmed to be Rayman, who knew all along), Rayman does not have an argument or confrontation with him.
- Rayman makes amends with the Rabbids after the latter have made their redemption from their corrupting influences and path of villainy, and becomes the caretaker of the Rabbids at the Space Opera Network in order to guide them to heroism.
- Unlike most of the other representative Ubisoft characters, who are misanthropic, Rayman is a philanthropist instead, and is friendly to mankind and even saved them from the Rabbids in big city fights.
