Princess Aurora, also known as Sleeping Beauty or Briar Rose is the titular protagonist of Disney's 16th full-length animated feature film, Sleeping Beauty.
As the only daughter of King Stefan and Queen Leah, she was cursed by the evil Maleficent to die on her sixteenth birthday by pricking her finger on the spinning wheel. Due to the efforts of the Three Good Fairies, the curse was altered, so that Aurora will only remain a sleep until True Love's Kiss. She is the third Disney Princess in the official lineup.
In the original film, she was voiced by Mary Costa. In other media, she has been voiced by Erin Torpey, Jennifer Hale and Kate Higgins. In the television series Once Upon a Time., she was portrayed by Sarah Bolger.
