Pearl is one of the main protagonists of the Steven Universe franchise.
She was voiced by Deedee Magno Hall.
What Makes Her Love Exalted?[]
- She acts as a kind mother figure towards Steven and loves to teach him about Gem history and culture, among other things such as the art of sword-fighting.
- She always tries to speak gently to Steven and is usually the first to show concern when taking him on a dangerous mission.
- She acts as a mentor to Steven in contrast to Garnet's more pragmatic and Amethyst's more fun-loving personalities.
- She created the drill that would allow Steven and Peridot to reach the Cluster, making her partly responsible for keeping all of Earth safe.
- She is extremely dedicated to her cause in protecting humanity for centuries more or less out of her love, loyalty, and admiration for Rose Quartz.
- She is shown to be more laid back and confident in Steven Universe: The Movie, as when Greg says she's the boss she agrees, showing that she's accepted she's her Gem.
- She eventually overcomes most of her problems and almost moves completely past her relationship with Rose/Pink, showing a strong and confident attitude with a dry sarcastic sense of humor.
- Over time, she gradually comes to have more faith in Steven, recognizing his development in both his physical abilities and maturity.
- When Steven is leaving Beach City, she at first acts like she is fine with him leaving but when he comes back to check her, Garnet and Amethyst for the last time, she finally cries hysterically and admits that the ukulele he gives her will be the only instrument she plays.
