“ | I hurt her a long time ago. (Stranger: How?) In a lot ways. She travelled for work. I didn't like that. I wanted a family. (A reasonable thing to want.) So, we fought. And it made my biggest fear come true. I got sick one day on the way to class. Cancelled it and went home. Found her there with someone else. Killed him. I was mad at her for so long and I can't imagine how much pain she felt. | „ |

What Makes Him Love Exalted?[]
- He took care of Clementine, consistently looked after her and remained a positive role model to her long after his death.
- He led a survivor group and acted as a voice of reason, tried to keep them together and alive.
- He saved Clementine numerous times from villains such as zombies, St. John Family, Save-Lots Bandits and the Stranger.
- To make Clementine a tough survivor, he cut her hair, gave her some advice and taught her critical strategies such as using gun and killing zombies.
- His death scene is specifically played for sympathy, getting people's sympathy and love for him. Even his voice actor Dave Fennpy stated that he cried while voicing Lee's death.
- While there are some choices making Lee inconsistent, all of them are determined upon player's choice and have no affect towards his main actions, and his relationship with Clementine.
