King Rauru, simply known as Rauru, is the posthumous overarching protagonist of the "Era of the Wilds" saga in The Legend of Zelda franchise. He is the unseen posthumous overarching protagonist of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and makes his first appearance as the tritagonist of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
He is voiced by Chris Hackney.
What Makes Him Love Exalted?[]
- He shared his wisdom and technology with the entire world with his sister. When he was immortal, he was humble, proven by his refusal to be worshipped as a god.
- He and his wife Sonia discovered Zelda, who had traveled from the future, he was a kind-hearted father figure to the princess, evidenced by teaching Zelda how to control her magic and helping her return to the future.
- After losing his wife due to accepting Gabon’s allegiance to spy on him, he felt incredible remorse.
- He sacrificed himself to seal Ganon away to protect and save Hyrule.
- When Ganon was freed from his prison, he saved Link from falling to his death and giving him his arm to replaced his damaged one.
- He uses the remainder of his power to revert Zelda to her human form.
