Katniss Everdeen is the protagonist of The Hunger Games.
What Makes Her Love Exalted?[]
- She sacrifices herself to stop Prim from competing in the Hunger Games, more or less expecting to die, though she does not.
- She saves Peeta by risking her life during the Feast.
- While she does kill other tributes in the games, she only does so in self-defense.
- She refuses to kill Rue and makes an alliance, and mourns her passing when she is killed by Marvel (unintentionally in the movie).
- She refuses to kill Peeta to win the games.
- She kills President Coin to make sure she doesn’t get away with her actions.
