This Love Exalted has been confirmed to be on the Heroic Benchmark Wiki to be a Heroic Benchmark. Although these characters have too much corrupting factors, have too much moral agency issues, are insufficiently characterized, are purely innocent, have standard heroism or heavily fail the in-story standards that prevent them from standing out to be at least Inconsistently Admirable, they are still noble and heroic enough in their own right. Do not remove Love Exalteds from this category unless they have been removed from the Heroic Benchmark Wiki. Failure to following these rules will result in a block. |

Gwimbly is the titular character in the Smiling Friends episode "Gwimbly: Definitive Remastered Enhanced Extended Edition DX 4K (Anniversary Director’s Cut)".
The retired video game star of his own franchise and the former mascot of Insane Groundbreaking Games, he becomes homeless and destitute after his series fell off. He eventually comes across Pim, a fan of his video game series, who decides to help him get back into the spotlight.
He is voiced by co-creator Zach Hadel, who also voices Charlie and Glep in the same show.
What Makes Him Love Exalted?[]
- He is very appreciative of his fans, telling Pim to "rock on" after learning he was a fan of his old video game series.
- He serves as an iconic mascot and role model within his titular video game franchise.
- He is a nostalgic representation of 90s video game protagonists.
- He has an eccentric and endearing charm to him, characterized by his charisma, prideful outbursts, and love for creamed corn. He is also fun-loving, as he loves dancing and starring in games.
- He stands up and tries to hurt the IGBG CEO after being humiliated over his poor circumstances.
- He is fairly optimistic and looks on the bright side, determined to get himself back into the spotlight and insisting that he can make the best out of his situation.
- He loves his co-workers Count Groxia and Mr. Millipede, especially the latter, whom he mourns the death of and considered to have been "like a damn brother" to him.
- He forgives Allan and Troglor for previously antagonizing him and teams up with them both.
Trivia[]
- Gwimbly is a clear reference to platformer video game characters from the early 3D era, such as Crash Bandicoot and Banjo. The fact his series was eventually sidelined by the company could also be a riff on how many of these franchises ended up forgotten by their own companies in spite of their prior popularity.
