You put on that badge because you know if you don’t, someone who shouldn’t will. But you have to understand, this mask is my badge, and I'm trying to be good too. I was trying so hard to wear this thing the way you would want, and I didn't... I didn't. I can do all these things, but I can't help the people I love the most, and they can only know half of who I am, so I-I'm completely on my own, and now I don't even know what the right thing is anymore! I don't now what I'm supposed to do, but I know... I can't lose one more friend.
~ Gwen Stacy

What Makes Her Love Exalted?[]

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse[]

  • She saved the lives of Peter B. Parker and Miles from Doc Ock despite not even knowing them.
  • She takes pity on Miles about the death of his uncle Aaron.
  • Despite not knowing the other spiders, she debates with Peter B. Parker about who should go back home and who should stay behind to shut down the collider.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse[]

  • Even after hurting and betraying Miles, she tried to stop the Spider-Society from chasing him.
  • She tried to stop Miguel from restraining Miles in a peaceful way.
  • While she did not tell the truth about Miles being an anomaly and an upcoming Canon Event that would ultimately cause the death of his father, she and her allies were only trying to protect him.
  • Despite her effort in trying to spare Miles's feelings when he confronted her, she decided to be honest with him and told him that she did consider telling him the truth, but didn't know how she was going to tell him.
  • She called Miguel out for the aggressive methods he was using to preserve a Canon Event and his harsh treatment of Miles.
  • When she realizes that Canon Events can be safely altered when her father quits the police force, she rightfully turned against Miguel and wanted to help Miles save his father.
  • She renounces the Spider Society by sending Scarlet-Spider to another universe without his watch that would prevent him from glitching and was ready to be ruthless towards those who hurt Miles or his parents.
  • She reassembles the Spider-Gang, Peter B., Peni Parker, Spider-Man Noir and Spider-Ham, along with former Spider-Society members, Mayday Parker, Spider-Punk, Spider-Man India and Spider-Byte, to protect the Multiverse and to find and rescue Miles and return him home.

Trivia[]
