Finn, originally known as FN-2187, is the deuteragonist of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. He is a trained warrior who was desperate to escape his past and is plunged into adventure when he meets Rey.
He is portrayed by actor John Boyega.
What Makes Him Love Exalted?[]
- He defects from the First Order and rescues Poe Dameron, and when Poe asks him why he was doing it, he tells him he was doing it because it was the right thing to do.
- He accepts Poe’s new name for him “Finn”, after he introduces himself as “FN-2187” and that’s the only name they ever gave him.
- While he gets angry at BB-8 and Rey when they accuse him for “stealing” Poe’s jacket after Poe had died drowning in the sand and fire of the wreckage (which it turns out that he actually survived, but Finn didn’t know that at the time), he then explained with a heavy heart that Poe didn’t make it after Finn tries to save him.
- When Han Solo and Chewbacca catch he and Rey hiding after they stole his ship from Unkar Plutt (who had stolen it from him), he doesn’t try to hurt them.
- While he initially has no intention in helping the Resistance (as he was trying to get away from the First Order), he later helps them fight the First Order.
- He saves Rey from Kylo Ren during their duel with him on Starkiller Base.
