Buer, also known as the Dendro Archon, Nahida, Lesser Lord Kusanali and the God of Wisdom is a major playable character in the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact. She serves as the ruling Dendro Archon of Sumeru, and the youngest member of The Seven who is a reincarnation of the previous Dendro Archon Greater Lord Rukkhadevata who was locked behind the Sanctuary of Surasthana for 500 years before being freed by the Traveler on their journey to Sumeru.
She is voiced by Ling Hua in the original Chinese version, Kimberly Anne Campbell in the English dub and Yuki Tamura in the Japanese dub.
What Makes Her Love Exalted?[]
- Her kit provides strong Dendro application allowing her to be flexible in teams, helped by her low Elemental Burst cooldown allowing for more frequent buffs to her teammates’ Elemental Reactions, in addition to one of the main marketing points being in her cute design, alongside her unique swing animation which doesn’t disappear until the player moves the character. This led to her being involved in various memes by the playerbase.
- She is shown to be one of the more innocent deities in Teyvat, having no corrupting factors and is always bubbly and helping of others, especially children. As a result, even Apep, the Dendro Soverign decides to leave her alone after she purified him, and Hydro Soverign Neuvillette felt sympathy for her imprisonment for 500 years by the previous sages.
- In the first two acts of the Sumeru Archon Quests, she helps the Traveler free Nilou from the endless loop that Grand Sage Azar had set to harvest dreams to power Shouki no Kami.
- Empowers the Traveler to help them defeat Scaramouche, freeing Sumeru from the grasp of the four tyrannical Sages, as well as saving Irminsul from being further corrupted by Forbidden Knowledge.
- Cleanses Irminsul by purging Rukkhadevata's consciousness from there, deleting all traces of forbidden knowledge from Sumeru, saving everyone afflicted by Eleazar and preventing any more outbreaks of Withering.
- Takes very great care of Scaramouche, giving him the comfort that nobody in his lifetime has ever given, after his failed attempt to erase his past was nearly circumvented.
- Has Apep, the Dendro Sovereign, cured after the removal of Forbidden Knowledge led to his feelings of incompletion, being willing to selflessly reduce herself to no smaller than a blade of grass doing so.
- Agrees to keep Sachin’s research away from the public eye rather than choosing to erase records from it due to its true nature being terribly real.
- Unlike the rest of the Archons, she gives the Traveler information about their sibling, marking a midpoint of the game’s main storyline.
