He is not as unlikeable as he was in Seasons 6-8. At worst, he has Ink Lemonade and Sea-Man Sponge Haters Club. Ink Lemonade was 6 years ago, and Sponge Haters was just in the perspective of the four characters who dislike him (Squidward, Puff, Plankton, and a Mailman).

And let's not beat around the bush: Patrick Star shouldn't come back either. From lovable albeit stupid to a huge jerk and horrible friend to SpongeBob in Seasons 6, 7, and especially 8 to just... stupid. Yeah, Patrick the Mailman has him help out a mailman out of just wanting to help him, and he did have a Season 10 episode called Patrick's Coupon where he worked so hard to get a free ice cream for SpongeBob but it will take a lot more than those to prove that Patrick's nicer moments are prominent enough to be LE. All I can say is that Patrick was one of the worst characters in Seasons 6-8 and his newer appearances didn't help, especially considering Season 11 has Ink Lemonade, because otherwise, he is just stupid and nothing else.
I guess it doesn't considering it's an episodic show. So long as his likeable moments become much more prominent as the show goes on, he may come back, but for now, SpongeBob is pretty annoying and uninteresting that these newer episodes don't help that much.
Then please bring my arguments to the table.
And let's go over the rest, shall we?
It was said if the show ended at Season 3 and the movie, he would be LE, but let's go over his numerous bad actions in the seasons after 3 and before 9.
In SpongeBob vs the Patty Gadget, he only cheered for the gadget's death, and it's not even sentient.
In No Nose Knows, he instantly felt remorse for what he did and took into consideration why Patrick wanted the nose.
CreamBob was an obscure book.
Shuffleboarding was not necessarily an unlikeable appearance, considering Patrick came up with this action in the first place.
In Squid's Visit, SpongeBob at least let Squidward live in his house and go outside to not bother him at the end of the episode.
In That Sinking Feeling, by now property damage is expected, and this didn't make SpongeBob unlikeable in Season 1, where he caused property damage in Bikini Bottom with people's cars.
That leaves only four unmitigated unlikeable moments. A Pal for Gary and Demolition Doofus are two of them, and they are pretty disgusting, but those were like only one of four moments that make him unlikeable.
Oh yeah, and there's Choir Boys to add to them.
But again, SpongeBob's worst moments, including that and APFG, Demolition Doofus, Boat Smarts, and To Love A Patty was subverted in the Seasons 9-present era. He is actually portrayed more sympathetically in Season 9, one where he lost his job, and another where he lost his thumb.

Even then, they are mostly subverted, with only three unlikeable moments listed from the Seasons 9-present era. Even his more "unlikeable" moments there are severely mitigated by how they are portrayed.
First of all, Bubbletown is unintentional.
Second of all, I already went over the string. It wasn't played horrifically and doesn't make SpongeBob look that bad.
Lastly, the Patrick Star Show is an AU from the original show, so Fun and Done doesn't matter.

Love Exalted characters can have a few unlikeable moments, and for SpongeBob, he mostly subverted his unlikeable qualities from Seasons 6-7 (not 8, frankly he doesn't seem to have any unlikeable moments).

And besides, IH can be LE.
I just don't like that I keep getting banned for making neo-nazi jokes. Even my classmates are more forgiving about that.
Plus, SpongeBob may have SEEMED just curious to see the end of the string. While it may have been proven wrong, it doesn't make him any less lovable. Look at that heinous act through the lens of a regular audience member. You have to kinda go deep to imply that SpongeBob intentionally endangered the universe.

At worst those heinous crimes were not portrayed with much weight or were obscure enough. CreamBob ConePants was not even part of the show and was a book, so it's obscure enough. Also, SpongeBob's heinous act in The String was played for comedy and had to REALLY be discussed for that act to count, as by the looks of it, it seemed like SpongeBob was just being curious.

She doesn't show as many jerkish moments after BFB 29 or 30, and besides, they make her more entertaining than detestable, and she redeems herself by BFB 30, and saved the entire BFDI universe in BFB 29, despite being somewhat reluctant about it at first.

Yes, he does count as Seriously Good, but just BARELY. He has tons of lighthearted moments like how he usually acts in Modern Sonic games, especially Frontiers, where he is the least serious of him, Amy, and Tails, and him just hanging around with Sonic and friends. He only really got serious in Adventure games, though, because in games like Sonic 3, he was not hard to laugh at, especially with how he foiled his own plan to get in the way of Sonic and Tails in Launch Base.
X is also less serious than Zero.
I'm sorry, how is he supposed to not be allowed on this wiki if he is probably even more sympathetic than Zero is and an extremely merciful character towards others? He wants to talk with Mavericks first before fighting them, which adds to his likability, since he is even less lethal than an average Maverick Hunter.
